Chef Alex Trujillo is a renowned Chef, family man, entrepreneur, and visionary for the J.T. Bros and J.T. Prime Kitchen & Cocktails brands. Chef Alex Trujillo grew up in Yuma, AZ, and it was there that he found his passion for culinary arts.

In his early career, he worked for years at a local favorite, Jack and Rosie’s Steakhouse, and this experience led him to studying at Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Institute in Scottsdale, AZ. Following his culinary schooling, he spent time studying and working in luxury hospitality and customer service for Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. He was an integral part of the opening teams for the Scottsdale, AZ, San Francisco, CA, and Las Vegas, NV locations.

 

In 2009, Chef Trujillo returned to Arizona to be part of the opening team of The Q, an Indian Gaming Casino as executive chef, before using his experience to launch Catering by Design, a full-service catering company in 2012. Followed by the opening of The Patio Restaurant in 2015. J.T. Bros Sandwich shop was created in 2018 followed by the first J.T. Prime Kitchen & Cocktails in Yuma, AZ in July 2020. His most recent addition is the highly-awarded and top-rated fine dining experience in Scottsdale, the J.T. Prime Kitchen & Cocktails - Scottsdale location.

 

Chef Trujillo has plans for expansion of the J.T. Bros and J.T. Prime Kitchen & Cocktails brands in 2023 and on. He plans to bring the unique, upscale, and intimate ambiance of the J.T. Brands nationwide in the years to come.
